Our March meeting is on Tuesday, 12 March 2024. The venue is VFW Post 5864. The address: 1842 Veterans Way, Greenwood, IN 46143. It is just east of I-65. As usual, the start time is 6 pm. The post has a well-stocked bar with reasonable prices. The cost is still $25 per member/ $30 per guest.

Our speaker is Tim Sparks and he will be sharing some of his flying stories with us, including his brief appearances in both of the Top Gun movies.  Tim has a decorated Navy career and then flew with FedEx after the Navy.

We have planned another "Friday Night at the Props BBQ". Friday evening June 28th, this year at the TWA Museum at Kansas City Downtown Airport MKC! The BBQ includes RT bus transport from the Hilton Hotel to MKC, admission to the entire TWA Museum, catered Kansas City BBQ, ("Joe's Kansas City") and a cash beer / soda bar. Built in 1974 for PSA Airlines, N910TE served for three airlines before becoming an Operation Blessing Flying Hospital. Flown to MCI in 2017, this L-1011 is one of two complete and operational L-1011’s left in the world! This aircraft is also one of two built with lower level air stairs! Weather permitting, you might even experience a start-up of one of the RB-211’s. Tour duration will be around one hour.
